TFTM2: Counterpunch + Punch « Thread Started on Aug 4, 2008, 3:56am »
Let me start by saying, this transformer was always one of my favorites Transformers, and that I actually started working on this guy about 4 weeks ago, and just finally finished his detail this morning.
I wanted to completely hide the yellow/autobot mode when he's in his alt mode. Which I believe I successfully did.
To make his head, I actually took 2 other Transformer heads, cut them in half and welded them together with apoxy resin. His hands are articulated too! There are arm-mounted lasers for both Autobot and Decepticon forms, which shoot a real powerful laser light. I also used a heat/thermal faction sticker for Punch's chest. All paints used in the process were 100% enamels, so the finish is very durable, and the colors will stay vibrant and true for many many years. I finished him off with several finishes of Testor's clear coats, all matte, semi-gloss, and gloss variations.
