I've not seen it yet, but would like to see people ratings out of 10. Grinning all the way through when I saw it last night. The whole cinema were loving it too, which added to the atmosphere. I am glad Bay took it in the direction he did, utilised the complex models for the bots and intertwined the humans with Transformers into the whole film. There was just enough plot to make the film enjoyable, without complex details, character development and backstory ruining the sheer action and entertainment. Avoiding what some films, such as Starwars Episode 1/2 managed to do in creating long boring character/plot development sections. I couldn't see many, if any other directors managing to get, what was a pretty poorly represented franchise with shockingly bad and cheesy cartoons and dialogues released over the last 25 years into such an awesome action packed, fun film that was totally watchable by all types of people. I am also extremely glad that he moved away from the human in a suit look that the transformers have had for so long. Having followed the opinions and reviews from the fans on the Transformer sites and forums very closely over the last couple of years, the whole, “it’s a shame Bay directed it” and “they don’t look like Transformers” movement has grown very tiresome and in my opinion doesn’t really wash. But objectively, I can’t remember going to watch a film that provided such great entertainment or wow-ness since seeing The Matrix. Transformers is not a film with a deep, lengthy, complex plot, or one that will make you ball your eyes out with empathy and sadness, but it is probably one of the best fun action films I have seen. 10/10 /goes off today to buy some of the movie toys

Really, really quality....
Totally agree that Bay was the right choice for director, and really looking forward to the follow up. It sent the same shiver down my spine that seeing the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park for the first time did. Emma said my eyes didn't move from the screen the whole way through
Roll on next weekend so I can go see it again....
Also been looking today for movie figures today, even fat Jazz!

[glow=red,2,000] What a cracking film! Did exactly what it said on the tin - a great movie!
I'm only gonna give it 8 out of 10 - for me a 9 or 10 would be something like Citizen Kane, Jaws, the Godfather etc... but still a fantastic piece of work! [/glow]

8/10. One thing I was glad about was that Bumblebee was not turned into a Jar Jar Binks. The movie could have had a more of a story, because I would have liked to seen the transformer characters more. Especially Megatron and Jazz. I was unsure about Hugo Weaving voicing Megatron, but seeing the movie I like him in the role. The biggist issue I have though is with the Allspark. Firstly, I thought they were not going to do the shrinking thing. Secondly, could the Allspark really be destroyed so easily? It just seemed odd to me.
On saying that though I would go and see it again.

Solid 9/10 for me. Like Streaker said, 10/10 is reserved for masterpieces and that TF isn't. That's not a dig though, I loved the film and thought it was superb, great action and SFX. I think Bay did a brilliant job and despite some slow pacing in the middle it was a fantastic cinema experience (both times).

It's hard to choose but I go for 9/10 for the sheer smile factor.
After having to physically fight the urge to stand before a packed midnight preview showing and shout out that "Micheal Bay has not raped MY childhood", I sat down to watch a great film. It might not the gekk-gasm that many had wished for but it certainly did a good job of entertaining without preaching or confusing and even managed a few good nods in the direction of it's predecessors.
Despite my claims of not giving in to the franchising (due to far too many expensive exclusives coming up, especially Alternators/Masterpieces) because my two wee boys needed toys/clothes/time/money, I went out the next day and purchased Bumblebee '76 and Barricade. Then the 360 game to boot. Fingers crossed my willpower is greater than the fuss the film is causing, lol!

Also gave it 9/10 - it was great fun and most excellent, but as Streaker and Minion say 10/10 is for masterpieces and it does not really make that bracket.

Gave it a 9 due to lil objection.
The whole "Spark cube" bringing things to life and them all being evil.

Gave it a 9 due to lil objection. The whole "Spark cube" bringing things to life and them all being evil. well I heard the reasoning for that is that all our tech is reverse engineered from megs kinda explains it I guess

I gave it 8 out of 10 as though I've enjoyed it everytime I've seen it, there are the plot problems, lack of characters for the Decepticons and a few other bits that stop me from rating it higher. That said I'm seeing it again later "up town" and may well go again to my local cinema. Its already the film I've seen the most at the cinema, and I thought it was better the 2nd time around, by the third showing I still saw little things I missed the previous times.
