I picked up Neptune God complete for £45.00 today off ebay, to go with my Gen1 Piranacon, but was wondering:
1) Is this a good price? 2) Is he rare 3) And which version do you think is best - colour wise?
I'd never or knew he even existed so put in an offer immediately.

Yes its a good price
Fairly rare - remember he was only released in Japan
I like god Neptune colour wise, but the originals have their charm... (and an extra member)

Is that MIB? Mine cost me a fair bit more (Almost double.... more money than sense me)
I prefer the God Neptune colours. Makes them look more solid and unified than the Piranacon. Odd about there being no Nautilator with God Neptune. I always wondered why that was. Maybe the mold was lost.

Odd about there being no Nautilator with God Neptune. I always wondered why that was. Maybe the mold was lost. At the time it was decided to leave out a member and the stands to make the production cheaper and keep the set cost down. Hasbro confirmed the mold wasn't lost when they announced the originally intended Energon set.

Mine was the same price not boxed.
Love the toy, just a couple are very stiff to transform

I've got a feeling there might be a few unofficial God Neptunes floating about but I am not sure. Moonies would be able to confirm that as we've discussed it before.
Mine also cost nearly double that. If I remember rightly, SSJ talked a seller down to £75 for me at the last Transforce.
Being that I am fortunate enough to own all version of the toy (incl testshot Universe and KOs) I have to say that nostagia aside God Neptune is one of the most impressive colour wise. It is far more unified in appearance at a glance. My only complaints are the lack of the Nautilator mold and the brittle nature of the plastic. Easily as good as any other version of the toys though!

Heh, yeah I remember us talking about the unified look making him look like more of a solid robot than a normal combiner.
Nautilator would have been nice if he was included as well. Its a shame he was left out.
What colours were the Universe test shots again?

Second in from left. Interesting that although God Neptune looks the bees when combined, the individual members look blander than other versions on their own. This is where I think Universe cleans up. Tenktakil is wearing a sweet pair of shoes in that p[ic above though!

Now whats the chances of that! Checking out the home page and there is Transformers Collectors Club Seacons! Does anyone know how I can get these without becoming a memeber? I dont want to fork out £45.00 for a magazine subscription for a year just to be able to order them. £45.00 is of course what I paid for my God Neptune - this is getting spooky!

It would seem £105 for the club version plus shipping...
No way to bypass the membership unless youknow someone in the club and order more than 1.
So unless someone on the moon is a member and they are willing to order more than 1 - you could be stuck with ebay. (cos im gonna have to end up doing one of those routes)

Deathshead - Please try to avoid double posting.
As for the Club Exclusive Seacons.
They're not out yet, god only knows when the club will "get their finger out" and start taking orders. On the 23rd of May they were 6 weeks away from arriving, and would accept orders in about a week. Here we are 4 weeks later, and they're still 6 weeks away, and the programmers can't get a Pre-Order system working on the website.
Anyway, there will be loads of sets on EBay eventually, just get one from there, or find a Member who will buy one for you. Sure it means contributing towards S&H from the USA, and then postage again within the UK, but you'd get them at least.
*** EDIT ***
Loosecannon they're $119 plus shipping, so probably closer to £70 for the set.

Thanks Deathshead The KO set is from Hong Kong and came on a backing card pre-assembled as Piranacon, complete with two remolded Dinorider dinosaurs instead of feet plates (weird I know). There is another giant KO set which is more easily attainable from the Phillipines (sp?), but I have yet to track down a Snaptrap for that set, it's just the other 5 components generall.y.
