Did anybody else think this, yess? Personally I think that the movie megs would be better BW style than G1 style as he is a far better character IMO.
His character is better developed, understandable. He gives great speeches. He is more logical and not as stupid (see capture the scientist plan G1 seasons 1 and 2)
What do you think?
Although actually G1 Galvatron is cooler than G1 megs too.. but thats another story...

I think most of the generic TF character types were better in BW. My only complaint was a lack of Terrorsaur being fully fleshed out as the back stabbing 'Starscream' role. I know he had one or two shining episodes but it wasnt much overall, then being killed off lamely didnt help.
Megatron was excellent. Im not sure I prefer him over G1 as they are different characters despite the name sharing. G1 Megs is more of a conquering warlord and BW is more the cunning strategist. BW Megs is certainaly smarter and more crafty but lacks G1 Megs insane ruthlessness.

Gen1 cartoon wise then most definatly. TFTM was about the only time I bought Megatron as a big time threat. In the comics I thought he came across as for more compitant and deadly.
If they could have an equil standing fight without size diffrence I'm sure Gen1 megs would beat BW megs.
But as Minionion says BW Megs was more of a stratagist and planner. He'd be more likely too have an ace up his sleave than fall back on raw power.
I feel BW megs would be Gen1 Megs second in command as a sort of soundwave or prowl role. Comming up with the plans but lacking that shear awe inspiering ability in battle

I agree that comic G1 was more deadlier, but then he went craizer than Galvatron.
BW Megs would beat G1 in a battle be tricking him, or sending Waspinator disguised as a scientist.. Forgot about the terrasour bit, he was pretty starscreamy.

Comic megs was prety indistructable. You just have too look at Timewars or when he took on the Dinobots or Predaking.
Plus his black hole power that he used about one time because it was so dangerous.
I dont think BW Megs could take him without time too prepare and plan. It would take alot of dirty tricks to counteract that amout of raw power. Gen one meg ripped heads of with his bare hands and punched through people.

[glow=blue,2,000]Also BW had better writers. The G1 show, even the comic now that I think about it, were inconsistant as it seemed the writers didn't care what the writer before him did.
So I think it can only be fair that if G1 had the same quality and attention (and if the G1 show had Furmon) we would have seen a better G1 Megs.
My favourite G1 Megs would be the G2 Megs, personality wise. Well also alternate form wise since I think a tank suits him better.[/glow]

If the fight was in a G1 comic book it'd go the other way. Vince kinda booking there.

I did like it when Magnus actually beat the snot out of him in the Marvel series though. Was a nice conclusion to their saga.

Yeah I liked BW Megs as a smarter villan than the original Megs. Original was cool, but BW had that little extra
