I thought it was about time to create a single on-going thread to discuss the Galaxy Force cartoon.

The fansubs are approximatly one week behind the Japanese airings so keeping upto date with the show should not be too difficult.

Wolf Pack Productions have episodes 1-3 available via Bit Torrent wpp-fansubs.com/

TV-Nihon will continue to fan sub the series, though I can only find the latest episode on their site www.tvnihon.com/ This is also Bit Torrent

Direct Connect users can probably find the Fan Subs on and Transformer Hub.

We are currently trying to setup a mirror of the episodes for direct FTP download as rar compressed files. Unfortunatly, the webhost we have put them on seems to have a limit on the filedownload size. We could put them on our new server, but it might kill the bandwidth.

Okay, well having now seen the first 3 episodes of Galaxy Force I must say I'm really enjoying it.

The fan sub was a little off in places in episode 3 but has been strong so far.

The humans seem to accept the Transformers a little too easily, but i'm overlooking that for now.

I find it funny how so far there have only been the three Destrons, not that Master Megatron and Starscream have met Thundercrakcer yet, and so many Cybertron. That being said, they have certainly put over Megs and Starscream as being a lot more powerful than the Cybertrons.

Vector Primes power, well the Force Chip, was certainly put over in Episode 3.

Its funny seeing Dreadrock and Exillion and just thinking of them as JetFire and HotShot. I can almost hear their voices. Exillion I can see being played more like HotShot Armada character than his Energon one, but overall more like Gen1 HotRod.

Jackshot seems to want be voiced like Rhinox IMO. Not sure why yet.

I'm not sure if David Kaye will suit this Megatron as well as he did Beast Wars. Master Megatron just reminds me of BW II Galvatron. Oberly powerful to the point of not having to be really smart and thinking ahead. BW Megs always gave you the impression he knew exactly what was going on at all times. It'll probably work, but he seems less observant so far.

Convoy I can only hear as Japanese, as when I see his face I just think Big Convoy.

As always, the children are much more acceptable in Japanese than they will be with their Western voices. I guess the Japanese tones are just more acceptable.

The story has had a reasonable pace so far, and with the different worlds they will be going to, I have hope that this will mean it will pick up pace quickly and not have to suffer a 30 odd episode of filler. The different locations should help to keep the stories going with sub stories on each planet.

I get the feeling that they will take new forms on each planet, which if nothing else means that the number of recolours in the line should be down.

But so far so good. The animation and CG is certainly top notch

I'm really enjoying it so far.

As for the kids being more accepting of them, you have to remember this is set after Energon, so Transformers are already known. (That's my theory anyway).

The story is turning out t be excellent, and the Force Chip animation in Ep 3 is amazing! Just a shame it disapears inside, I think it would be better if the chip remains visable.

I eagerly await the rest of the series.

Just uploaded the Transscript for Epsiode 2, Avalible here as well as spell checking Steve's Ep 1.

According to this episode they have heard rumours of Transformers, but did not know they existed. This would mean ...

a) Energon can't have happened yet - as surely everyone would have noticed the Terrorcons attacks / the Energon towers

b) It's set in the future, when they've forgotten about them

c) It's before Energon (maybe before, during or after Armada

d) Is another dimension.

In the US dub they can easly have the kids already know about Transformers, so that means it can be set after Energon.

Galaxy Force isnt related to Micron Densetsu or Superlink, whereas Cybertorn is a continuation of Armada and Energon. Also, according to story sunopsis from Hasbro, Cybertron actually is still around in Cybertron so im thinking the first ep of Cybertron will be a cut and paste of ep 1/2 of Galaxy Force. Galaxy Force probably is a demension in itself but the fact that the kids knew of the existance of Transformers is quite interesting. Could this be set in the same universe as Car Robots? Probably not.

As for the episode... lol, while Superlink was actually quite serious and more mature in its story telling theyve gotten alot sillier with GF. Its kinda funny in a cute way . First up was mountain thing. Secluded area where no one will ever find you so lets keep it a secret eh? trashing a mountain side full throttle sure helps that dont it. And dont let Guardshell help construct the base even tho hes the only one that turns into a contruction vehicle . There was so much emphasis on how *secret* this base was. Yet when the cons attack loud speakers start blaring from the countryside. Very inconspicuous. The next thing, and i found this hilarious but maybe i was just thinking too much, was that the Autobots met Megatron and Starscream in space * to prevent them finding the location to their SECRET base* yet, with all of Earth at their disposal, they lead them straight into the canyon where the secret base is located! HUH?! Cunning indeed!
After the relatively sensible superlink this was kinda dissapointing but i guess Galaxy Force is being aimed at a slightly younger audicance ( hence the age change in main human charas). The animation continues to go from strength to strength. And is it just me or did the intro change slightly?

Ok, all Kids shows will have major flaws, after all its aimed at kids but then as I was always told. "If you question it, you're too old to watch it".

I expect its aimed at the same age of audience.

The Cybertron version is certainly going to be interesting to see how they try to fit it in, if they do try to keep it in the same universe.

Watched Episode 3 (without having watched 1 and 2 yet) and found there were only three good things about it:

1) Megatrons seems quite powerful and doesnt sit on his butt
2) Starscream seems more intelligent and devious and has more of a role
3) Backpack seems like an intresting character as he has a largish role in this episode. However I hope it stays this way and the annoying Dreadlock and Excylion dont run the show. Or that pompus Vector Prime for that matter .. he seems a waste of space. Would much rather prefer a Depth Charge style character.

The last episode was a little odd, what with the dancing cars, but was interesting to see they they will have backgrounds TFs in it. Interesting to see a Armada Blurr recolour though that was the only one I recognised.

Off to Speedia next. Megaton again showed how powerful he really is standing up to Force Chipped Convoy. Thundercracker wondering where Megatron was was a nice addition as I wondered why he wasn't after him when he's be in it before.Dreadrocks sudden change of attitude was exactly that. The traffic light-bot just reminded me of Robo-capers.

Not sure where they are going to go with the earth military though. The fights seemed watered down in that episode as well

just watched 5 (RAW) and noticed (the second i heard the voice)that Gasket is the same voice actor as Sanji from One Piece ;D
(he's the guy with the cigeratte in my sig)

also FirstAid/RedAlert is in this episode, glad to see him back he was 1 of my fav characters from Armada

Downloaded and watched it this morning ... not bad I do have to say .. so far looking pretty good

I really like the base and the way they introduced Gasket and Land Bullet is really cool .. I love Megatrons enscription methods ..

Oh and first aid looks like a great character too ..

Anyone else notice when Dreadloock displays the alt mode hologrammes - he also dispalys what looks like Longrack & the Alternator windcharger ?

As well as what seems to be modes scan info later used by Guardshell and others.

Just finished Ep 6, and this series is getting better all the time! Never watched anything subbed before, but it seems to me that alot must be lost in the US dubbed version.

i normally watch dubs, but some anime can get really messed up in dubs like One Piece the amount they have messed up e.g. swoppin guns for water pistols or gun hammer thing, names Zoro - Zolo and some of the names they didn't catch they can't say right
.....cut out blood, make the cook sound like a gangster
anyway lol...ep 6 is really good, nitro convoy
