Hi, new here. Was just about to order one of these off Play.com for £8.99 but it looks like they've sold out completely. Does anyone know of another low price for Bumblebee in the UK via a website? Thanks.

Greattoys is a great shop to buy from.
Bumblebee was probably sold out when I was looking, but I know where I'll be looking from now on.

But rumour has it he, along with his other Deluxe friends, is in the new Argos Catalogue.

now I'm not complaining but why order from overseas for £13.72 total when you can buy from my site for £14.26 total
theres only a 50p difference for stock supplied and shipped from the UK within 24 hrs usually
further down the line everyone will be complaining that hasbro uk never stock anything but why should they?
if people keep importing theres no need for hasbro to pay the costs themselves so will stop the stock
I know I won't be stocking it for much longer if sales continue to be this bad on the lines where everyone keeps importing
I completely see where mini was coming from when he pulled out from selling TF's
so please if anyone could let me know why they see importing as the better route please let me know because I cant afford to spend £500 on stuff that isnt going to sell

I got Bumblebee from Play in the offer and it was shipped in a grey plastic bag so there was no keeping it mib as it was mashed. It is however quite simply the best TF I have ever owned for so many reasons.

Hi, thanks for the help. Am sorry Starscream's Ghost, I appreciate the help there but a friend just told me early yesterday he got Classics Starscream for £11.99 (£9.99 plus £2 postage) from some seller on ebay and told me Bumblebee was there for same too. The seller also had several other TF's in stock too. Got a £30 cheque from my grandad for christmas so I thought what the hell and bought Starscream, Rodimus (I prefer calling him Hot Rod though) and Bumblebee yesterday morning. They all arrived in a box today about lunch time. Hot Rod's easily my favorite of the three but all of them are just superb in every way. Love their robot and vehicle modes and the whole G1 but modern feel to them. Also like their actual transformations too. I have a few of the RID transformers (Sideburn in red and blue, X-Brawn in Rally colors, and Prowl in US and Jap police schemes) and I usually keep those in car form because I find them a total hassle to transform. I'll be putting those up on ebay soon as I need to clear some shelf space and I don't feel the same attachment to those as I do to G1 characters despite the niceness of their car forms.
Can't wait til Christmas morning as I'm pretty sure my folks got me the Classics Voyager Optimus Prime sitting under the tree. I'd quite like Astrotrain too, and I've come around to liking Megatron despite the odd colors and 'wings'. Jetfire looks fantastic too so I'll have to get him sometime. Sure do love these Classics, they got me loving Transformers all over again.

Starscream, that's how markets work. I think Hasbro UK are the guilty ones here, if you buy from them you're not going to make any money at all, they have no interest in selling product here, I don't know why they even exist, even if you buy the quantities that Argos do you still don't get a price that incentivises you to stock that product compared to cheap cr*p like power rangers and batman figures. And the RRP includes VAT, but unless you sell more than about £60000 a year you don't need to register for VAT or charge it.
If you were to buy cases from Hong Kong or Diamond Select or other wholesalers, you could probably offer a more competitive price and still make a bigger profit, as long as you don't get stung on import duty.
As for the cost, if you buy one the difference is minimal, but if like me you just bought all 4 deluxes, some cybertron legends and MP Starscream, then you'll find Greattoys to be very fair with discounting the shipping.
Phill, if you email greattoys, because you can't see what you're looking for, they may still have it, as they have real shops as well, and get restocks every week too. But they tend to only get 3 or 4 shipments of each wave so by asking for it, if enough people email to ask, you can persuade them it's worth getting extra.

Tobe sure there is no misunderstanding, I am a customer myself who has taken advange of SSG's services and I am well pleased with the results. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of the marketplace and this is mine. SSG was making a helpful offer and understands the risks of business in undertaking the provision of an alternative service to ebay or other importers. Please stop making negative comments about what all the little businesses do to help out us collectors and give them some support. Just look at Ellis Models and some of the other little guys and appreciate them for what they are trying to do as most of them are collectors themselves. Forget blaming people and start helping people, after all it is Christmas.

I have to agree. If there is no support for any UK shops then eventually there won't be any. Having to rely on ebay is not an ideal situation and those alternate routes are always welcome. Personally that fact I can get toys in the UK from a UK seller with an online shop (not an ebay shop) is a big relief for me. I am happy to pay a few pence here and there for that privelege.

And the RRP includes VAT, but unless you sell more than about £60000 a year you don't need to register for VAT or charge it. ANY sale in the UK by a business is applicable to have VAT applied except very few things such as books and childrens clothes some items are lower value VAT (5%) e.g.birth control so yes I DO have to apply VAT to everyone of my sales regardless of turnover If you were to buy cases from Hong Kong or Diamond Select or other wholesalers, you could probably offer a more competitive price and still make a bigger profit, as long as you don't get stung on import duty. Would that be Diamond Select who supply FP and set the RRP at £14.99?? yes I can get cases from hong kong but the quantites I buy in I WOULD get customs charges so that doesn't make it cheaper As for the cost, if you buy one the difference is minimal, but if like me you just bought all 4 deluxes, some cybertron legends and MP Starscream, then you'll find Greattoys to be very fair with discounting the shipping. cost difference is minimal if you buy one ever tried asking me for bulk deals? one user on here who is a regular buyer from me uses my loyalty card to get his classics for £10 each including delivery...... no chance of getting hit by customs either....... I'm not trying to win customers (although it would be nice) I offered him somewhere to get the item in the UK via a websiteas he requested in his original post further to that I was genuinely interested as to why people prefer to import rather than support homegrown businesses what sort of business doesn't listen to it's potential customers? And also in Pete's defense, one of the reasons I cancelled Transforce this year was because of the low numbers of UK Transformers dealers. I have had a quarter of the enquires I usually get. The UK market has suffered.
