Hello all
I have recently decided to start replacing all my long lost Transformers collection - my mother sold all mine at a car boot many years ago!!!
Anyhow, I recently saw some reissues in Toys R Us - Skywarp, Prowl, Tracks, Red Alert and Inferno. I had recently gotten the 20th Prime as a gift and it started off an old passion and as they all appeared to be part of a set (they are all pictured inside the flip box), bought them all for a bargain £10 each.
Anyhow, upon researching what else is around from the Hasbro G1 reissues, I see that there is a Commemorative Series. Now what I want to know is, the ones I recently bought are identical to the CS versions except on the front of the packing there is no 'banner' stating Commemorative Series and inside the flip box at the top, where it says CS on the others, mine just says collect them all.
Now is this because its a TRU thing, or are these CS variants?
Many thanks in advance for any help you could give.

Its probably just a difference between the US and European versions.
My CS boxes are all packed away and I'm sure they're mostly European ones, so I've no real way to confirm it.

OK thanks Phill - I have just been doing a bit more reading on it and thought that myself. Either way, for the price, they are real nice, and now I am toying with the idea (spot the pun) of going all out and trying to get all the Commemorative Series or the very nice Takara TF Reissues (in the book boxes). I'm a bit of a newbie to this but I'm just gonna go for what I like the most. This place is a great source of information and I'm sure will help me find what I want to get.

To get the full set of reissued figures you'll have to go with a mix of Hasbro and Takara reissues.
Hasbro ones generally miss out on Chromed weapons, and springs in the missile launchers. If you're wanting something closer to what you remember as a kid then you're better to go for the Takara ones. Saying that though, the Hasbro ones do tend to be a good bit cheaper. Also one of the high-quality Prime KO's out there would be a good alternative to finding Takara # 0 or the CS version.

It's also worth noting that whilst the Hasbro ones generally come with stinky weapons, the toys themselves are sometimes better - Jazz for example was all loose and frankly a bit crap when reissued by Takara. Hasbro did some work on it and thus the Hasbro reissue of Jazz is a far better toy...
