It isnt mine im afraid, its a commission but im thinking of making one for myself. I did make one like this a while ago (which is how the commissioner heard of me) but i wasnt pleased with my own original version so i might re-do it after seeing how well this one came out.

Black would have been ok, but blue is best.

I was thinking for that prime you should have cut 4 holes in where the lights are at and 4 circles from a toy that has plastic "glass" glued them ontop the holes...voila!

Why not visit your local hobby store and find the tiny little crystals which are reflective coated on the back? They come in a variety of colours and sizes and only require a shallow concave cone shaved or drilled at the mounting point. All the "lights" could be replaced with them for that bling look which your Alclad II chroming has begun.
We used to use them in 1mm and 2mm sizes for eyes, 3mm and 4mm ones for sword pommels or laser barrel recesses at GW. Very sparkly in the right light due to the faceted surface. It's better to ask for them rather than cruise the card making or jewellry making sections looking a bit shifty like. Any problems in obtaining them, just shout and we can talk postage.

Hmm..i had forgotten all about that technique...i cant do anything to this now as its all ready to ship out, but i will look into it for future projects....a Leader class Prime with a chrome grille and those crystals for head lights would look awesome. Thanks for the tip! If im too lazy to go to hobby craft (as thats the ONLY hobby store near me, which sucks) i'll give you a shout.
