There's 2 different stories about Nightwatch Prime. One is that all Allspark Power figures are mainly blue, and they needed a blue leader class figure for the sub-line. The other is that he's based on a 1 to 3 second scene in the movie. Plain and simple however is that he's a simple recolour that will net Hasbro more money. Like others out there he's movie Ultra Magnus to me. |

If it's a repaint to make a known character then I'd feel almost compelled to buy it but I can't really justify a repaint like that on my budget. I'd like a real movie Magnus showing in the sequel, perhaps leading another squad of autobots who meet up with the first. |

I was suprised though by the quality of Nightwatch Prime he really is excellent. The last prime repaint I bought was the Galaxy Force Optimus Prime from the Cybertron range that was hardly repainted at all. But Nightwatch Prime really looks the part it gives him a more dark and moody look, not in the same way as Nemesis Prime but something inbetween.

Voyager Prime and Deluxe 08 Bumblebee 2 pack
Prime's decent. Prefer the Leader version but this ones got a very different and interesting transformation and I like the smokestack rifles and the driver. Might paint him up as a different character though.
Love the 08 Bumblebee. Looks superb in both modes, cool weapon and a great transformation. Vast improvement over the 70s camaro figure and I far prefer it to the Classics incarnation too. I want more TF's like this please.

Picked up the Movie 2 pack from Argos.
Dissapointed that Prime fits into the 'Blackout scale' of voyagers as opposed to Starscream and Ratchet but he is very nice all the same.
I was less impressed with Bumblebee although he is still pretty good and I don't resent buying the pack at all.

Robot Replica Bumblebee. Not bad for the £8 I paid for it. Bit like a Revoltech but not as good joints. Oddly I find the transformable Deluxe Concept Camaro figure far easier to pose and stand up. But yeah I like it.
Odd also that I now have three different movie Bumblebees and likely to get some more (Ultimate, and I'd like that gold painted 70's one from Japan I think it was). Never much liked him before the movie, despite the decentness of the Classics figure.

Got the Bumblebee/Optimus 2 pack from Argos, thanks for the tip  Really love both the figures, but I don't know if I'll be able to resist Leader class Prime much longer. 2008 Bumblebee really is fantastic though. |
