Won't get a proper chance to read it until tonight but at first glance I was surprised to see it is mostly reprints, albeit of relatively new comics (prequel, beast ware gathering) much like last month's "Transformers magazine". Wasn't it billed as all original material?

Wasn't it billed as all original material? Nope - It was billed to have one new story each issue (the Movie Spotlights) and reprint the IDW Movie Adaptation. The Beast Wars Reprint is a surprise (and a welcome one too

I wasn't given a choice of dogtags but ended up with the Decepticon ones. It's just good to see Simon Furman and the comic back again - long may it continue

Every corner shop around my way only had 1 copy, and only with autobot tags

I picked up 2 copies earlier (One for each set of Dog-tags), my local Scotmid had about 30 copies of it on the magazine rack. The woman who orders the magazines told me thay had ordered 80, and the ones left were all they had.

Picked up a copy of this from Tesco this afternoon and got the Autobot Dogtags. There's a real old-school Marvel UK feel to the comic, while still feeling up to date. The Geoff Seniors art work is great and the IDW reprints look wonderful in the larger size. All in all I'm really likeing it.

Moonbug bought it on friday and put up a review here. I saw it for the first time today as I have been away in Devon for the last week with my GF. I agree with Trek, it really feels more like the old Marvel comic than the Armada one, the Beast Wars reprint was a surprise. We haven't bought much of the IDW books (as Dave's review mentions) so for us its great. We have the Autobot logo tags ourselves, only one place by us sells it, so going to have to subscribe to make sure we get it, which though nice and handy, is a bit of a shame not to buy it the old fashion way.

My subscription copy came with 'con tags... so I just had to go get another copy with 'bot tags and it went straight in a comic bag. I love the comic... Seriously love it because much as they try to avoid it it has a huge G1 feel. Issue 1? Nah mate - this is issue 333 just a bit late... Now everyone go out and buy it to force it fortnightly and then weekly

Where can I get this comic? I've tried 8 different newsagents today and all I could find was the movie sticker album which I can't buy yet as i haven't seen the film. I want some con tags, are they cool? They sound cool. Do they look good? I mean, could you get away with wearing them? I'm not a card-carrying geek, but then I'm not exactly hip either, so I reckon i can get away with Decepticon dog-tags...

I found a copy of this comic. I won't be buying it again. It's very, very poor (and yes I know it's meant for kids, but that's no excuse). It's not as bad as UK Armada though, granted.

I picked it up earlier this week but only got around to reading it yesterday. It's far too hosrt, the back up reprints are going to be super stringed out and seemed to end in forced places. I guess that's inevitable when you bastardise an issue for space or to make it last longer.
On the plus side the dog tags are cool, the new movie story was great (simplistic but a real UK style one off tale), and the larger format reprints looked good on paper.
I'll definitely be buying this again partly out of loyalty but also because I think it'll improve.
