Most of the unreleased toys were available in the UK at some point or other. I had a French set of Constructicons for example and a friend of mine had an Italian Swoop.
Omegatron (Omega Supreme) was released in the UK as part of a different toyline (Convertors) licensed by Grandstand in his original colours in 1983/4.

I got 4 of the Original Green Constructicons when they were released in Woolworths in 1989. I only got four because I made up the last two parts with the yellow ones that were available around the same time (I think I got Mixmaster and Scrapper in Yellow).
Otherwise I never saw any of the other grey imports.

Didn't Pounstretchers or "Whatties" get a lot of the Joustra releases in as well?
I'm sure I remember seeing Joustra Jazz and Starscream, and assuming they were fakes.

I think a lot of people did that, assuming they were fakes and avoiding them. Where we live we had a lot of Italian imports and I distinctly remember turning down a £3 Grimlock.

[glow=red,2,300] I still have a Diaclone Microman Black Perceptor that I picked up in the Basildon TRUS around the time the first movie came out.
I seem to recall the shop being filled with Microman Dinobots... [/glow]

SOme of the toys which were released over here may have been imported and not "officially released", like we get at the moment

to answer the original question a number of the toys were not released over here as the UK market was not big enough to support the full line of TFs thus Hasbro were selective in which ones would be released

A mate of mine had Shockwave ( he had an aunt in the States who sent it to him) and the kid next door to me had Omega Supreme (think it was the G1 version, though I only realised what it was years later). I remember going to John Lewis in Kingston for my birthday, seeing lots of Dinobots there, and being peed off that they didn't have Swoop.

I recall there was once a competition in my local Woolworths to win Fortress Maximus once. Only time I ever saw him, though.

Not a UK one at all, rather Euro, and if it was available here it was a grey market import. UK TF's where released by Hasbro, not MB. MB releases where in "France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany etc" as "Hasbro was in the process of taking over a company called Milton Bradley (MB)." Source: Maz again - font of all obscure knowledge. www.tfsource.com/articles/MB.htmlIf you want to know about G1, read EVERY article has has written.
