Went to see the film for the second time yesterday with the Mrs, who happens to have a liking for a certain Decepticon police car. Wasn't till after the film finished we suddenly thought - what happened to him? The last I remember seeing of him is on the motorway when Sam recognises him and he gets boxed off - just before Bonecrusher attacks. Have we developed a joint amnesia, did he die un-noticeably, or did he just not appear again? Answers on a postcard

Nope, no amnesia there. He disapears, as they forgot to put him in the final battle. Good news is that it could mean he'll be in the second one.

Some folks out there seem to insist that he's in a few frames of the final battle, and you can see him being dumpped out at sea, but I think he was left out deliberatly.
People also forget that Scorponok is alive as well at the end. You don't see Blackout picking him up again, so I'd say he's alive.

Blackout was left on his back in the lot after the fight with Bumblebee, Starscream jetted off into space. Scorps dug back into the sand in the desert & Frenzy was left in the lab.
Optimus said that he put a call out to the Autobots, so nothing to say of 'cons can't pick that up. Especially a certain Decepti communications officer.

Blackout was left on his back in the lot after the fight with Bumblebee, Barricade is seen enroute to the big battle but for some reason never shows up. I know he is seen escorting Devastator and Bonecrusher down the dual-carriageway/free-way. Though he fails to show up in the battle itself. I think I heard it mentioned he got killed off in a fight that was cut from the theatical version.

Yeah it's weird, but there is a scene in the comic adaption that shows Prime taking on Barricade after he's killed Bonecrusher. Prime simple picks him up and throws him into the support beam of a bridge or something, and the impact seems to make Barricade's head fly off. Dunno whether that was meant to happen in the actual movie or not. Comic versions usually do work off earlier scripts in order to get released in time.

I thought I'd missed something - maybe blinked at the wrong time. It's great that the option of his return has been kept open, or at least I'd like to think that was the case. Would be irritating to find out that we didn't get to see his demise due to time/budget restraints!
