Yeah Luffy reported the first sighting in the bragging thread on May 2nd, We picked up ours the next day. A month early, quiet shocking So I discovered after I posted lol. I have to say though, I have opened them and they are superb. They must be the best 2 pack to be released in the UK to date. I rarely bother to play with my TFs, if I ever open them at all but these are great. By far the best Megatron as well to appear bar MP and G1 imo. I really do like these since they have managed to get the cartoon look so close in alt and vehicle mode. I can’t think of another series that has managed to pull this off so well. Even G1, which was close since they designed the cartoon around the toys (rather than the other way round for most of it) isn’t as close to the mark. I was going to give animated a dodge and finish off the classics and the odd one or two from Encore but I will definitely have to pick up a few more. I quite enjoyed collecting the movie toys but looking at them on the shelf now they seem so drab next to these animated ones. Animated really does seem nice and cheerful, kind of the total opposite to beast wars.

I got the set yesterday. While I love the look and posability of the robot modes I am disappointed with their alt modes - Prime's got the axe blade just sticking out of the back and Megatron harkens back to the days of "We say it's a space ship cos we didn't have a clue how to design anything that looked good". I do love the style of the robot modes though and that's how I will display them, they look great fighting each other and really stand out on the shelf. £20 for the two plus the DVD seemed a good price and it was nice to get my first taste of the cartoon. I thought it was OK, nothing amazing but fairly watchable. I wish we'd got more than a third of the opening "movie" epidode though, seemed very short because of that. They never even got to Earth. Roll on the rest of TF:Animated this summer, I have earmarked a few for purchase

Can confirm Hamleys has them now: Deluxe Optimus, Lockdown, Bumblebee and Prowl Voyager Bulkhead, Megatron, Starscream Two pack Optimus and Megatron
Picked up Prowl - love the engineering on him, best motorbike transforming robot ever made. Megatron alt mode is pants. Would have got the two pack if it had been earth mode Megatron. Can't understand why they'd bring out two versions of the same bad design.
