I've picked up Prowl, because I'd already decided he was awesome - a motorbike transformaiton that works, a totally show accurate robot mode, great articulation and wicked accessories (his hubs, not his nunchuk...)
But not sure about any of the others, any recommendations?

From the figures I have so far I can recommend all of them.
Bumblebee is great fun, okay he has a few minor issues with arm articulation with his backpack and an occasionally diffcult transformation (mainly from bot to alt). But definitely recommended.
Bulkhead is okay. If you want a figure that is in scale with the others then wait for the leader class otherwise if that doesn't bother you grab him now.
Optimus Prime (deluxe and voyager) again the Voyager is the better figure in every way. Really I would only recommend the deluxe cybertron mode for the completist as the Voyager size is much better.
Megatron (cybertron voyager) again wait for the leader class unless you are a completist. Great bot mode, lousy alt mode.
Lockdown brilliant figure, probably my favourite so far. A slight problem with his arms as noted elsewhere and his bot mode towers above most of the figures so far. But overall great figure.
Blackarachnia average figure. Alt mode you can see bits of bot mode and bot mode is very unstable and so posing is a no no. The gimmick of a winch is good in spider mode but redundant in bot mode.
So there's my thoughts on what I have so far. Hope it helps.

For Blackarachnia you have to have her feet angled, like its a pair of high heels. The instructions say to flatten them fully out, which is a no-no.
Once I'd realised this, I had no issues in making her stand fine.

I think the legs are a little loose on mine anyway. I've got one of the early production models from China and the spider legs that you swivel round to form the other half of her legs are loose. The weapon also tends to unbalance the figure too if you extend her arm with it on she falls forwards if you clip it to her back she falls backwards. As I say though probably problems that have been ironed out since.
