Hey I'm new. First thread! I bought him off of Ellis models last night. I had never heard of him before but he sounded cool so I bought him without seeing what he looked like (impulse buyer ) Is he rare or worth the tenner I paid for him?

He used to be quite rare as he was Japanese only, but then Hasbro offered him through their collectors website in the US and since then I think Takara have found a load of old stock as he is appearing all over the place. So no, he isnt rare, but he is well worth having as he is a very cool looking toy. He is also the closest you will get to Ravage as he appeared in the Beast Wars show, without spending the £100 to get an X-9 Jaguar (repaint/retool of Transmetal Cheetor) So you have invested your £10 wisely. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info! Glad I bought him as there was only two in stock and they're all gone now! I also bought Bantor (I couldn't resist). Is he any good?

Bantor is one of the Fuzors meaning he is 2 animals fused together - this one is half lion, half baboon i think. He is one of the better fuzors and is quite small - a word of advice though: if you ever come across a Fuzor called Injector stay clear. Trust me.

I think both purchases are good ones. Shadow Panther is a good mold and Bantor is one of the better Fuzors out there.

I have a wheelie figure... I hate him hes a damn gobot. He's hunched over and looks like the transformers version of an 80 year old guy.

I got Shadow Panther and Bantor today. They are both cool figures. On the bottom of SPs box it shows you the other figures in that wave and I've never seen repaints of figures that are in the same wave. There are 4 repaints! Tarantulas has a repaint, so does Waspy and Cheetor has two! Why a couple of versions of the same figure in the same wave!?

I dont have my Shadow Panther box to hand but i'm assuming the Waspinator repaint is Buzzsaw, who used the actual robot head of the mould rather than the mutant head Waspinator uses. The Tarantulas repaint is probably Blackarachnia who looks nothing like she did on the show and again uses the robot head and not the mutant head. And the Cheetor repaint should be Tigatron - the original US version was cream with black stripes, but Japan did a more show accurate white version. I'm guessing the second Cheetor repaint you refer to is Shadow Panther. Hope this helps!

Or perhaps the Fox Kids recolours of those toys. I dont have Shadow Panther so am not sure who is on the box.

Don't think Fox Kids repaints were release in Japan. Could be wrong though.
