Love the new re-tooled moulds of Beast Wars Oppy & Megs - but did I miss something? - Why do they look like they do?
I like 'em, Megs looks reeet evil & Prime with his over-sized fists. V. Interesting, just don't know why they changed them. Does it reference something? Why not leave them as they where?

Takara are releasing the remolded versions of the original Primal and Megs, while Hasbro are doing the new molds.

Well with the new IDW showing LioConvoy as having a very beasty looking alt mode (although he seemed too have tracks on his back) I would be tempted too treat thise two as their Cybertronian modes.
I dont think they make sence logicaly.. although surely there were beastmodes on cybertron I never thought they made much sence and prefered them too have vehicle modes unless involved in gladitorial combat... which is about one of the only reasons I could see the beast mode making sence. For fighting.
Ether that or I would consider them too be how Primal and Megs would look if resurected after their deaths at the end of BM

[glow=blue,2,300]The toys were probably scaled down to keep their price points more in line with the rest of the anniversary figures. [/glow]

Every time I see those pics it just reminds me how much Primal needs proper hands, not monkey feet

Megatron I like, OP no. He looks like he belongs in a Planet of The Apes movie not a 10th anny fig!

I think the problem lies in that as they are they arent awful toy, yeah Prime's hands and general look are weird but if it were a Cybertron toy it'd be ok. Sadly labelling them as BW 10th Anniversary brings a lot of expectation and this is where they fall down.
If i can get them for some kind of sensible price ill be doing so without hesitation.

Is the Cybertron carded Megatron different colours to the 10th anniverary boxed one?
Also is there a Primal Cybertron carded version in addition to his 10th anniversary box release?

Both Primal and Megatron with the Cyber Keys got BWX and Cybertron releases. I picked up both of them this past weekend.

But both are the same toy essentially, no colour differences?
