Out of all of the most recent gimmicks (Armada, Energon, and Cybertron) which do you feel has been the worst or weakest?
My vote goes for Cyber Planet Keys. Sure the figures are cool, but the keys serve no real purpose, and bring nothing new or unique to the characters.

I'll second that.

3rd it. Although I thought 2-man powerlinking was pretty dumb as well. Hyper Power worked better. I preffer my gimmicks simple.

I take a diff approach .. having watched the special anniversary episode of energon where snow cat and demolisher tried to powerlink that proves (in my opinion), why powerlinking is the worst! Followed by minicons and the the keys ..

Hyper power, it's not even a gimmik, just a bit of see through plastic. All in all, all the gimmick since Armada are awkward and don't work at all.

[glow=blue,2,300]This is a tough one for me. Needing Mini-Cons to unlock hidden powers seemed pretty dumb from a design standpoint. Why build Robots that can't access their features?
Powerlinxing was rough too. A team of five link for super strength and durability - I'll but that, but two? Just a bigger target.
Hyper power actually made sense. In a world where energy is the key, the ability to temporarily increase one's performance while maintaining the ability to function at lower levels is a darn good idea.
Cyber Planet keys. For being such rare things in the storyline, it seems odd that every single TF comes with one and has hidden powers associated with it. It's the same deal as the Mini-Cons, but without the cool little tiny characters. I do think the keys look awful cool, though.[/glow]

I really dont like the 2-man powerlinking. Just cheapens the effect when everyone does it and some were god awful.

Hyperpower made little sense to me and didn't really seem like a gimmick. It was just a slightly different way of Transforming the figure. Big whoop.

I would have to say powerlinking aswell because some look right wierd espescailly if you can't get 2 of the same class size as at the moment I have Prowl top half linked to Ironhide bottom half which while looking ok is wierd looking. herschell

For those of you who keep saying the bots looked crap when powerlinked.. I invite you to put Towline atop Downshift. That is the best combo of them all. Looks awesome. Worst gimmick for me is Hyper Power. Sticking a extra gun on something that just turns round and that's it.. Just isn't my kinda thing. I'm not much into guns anyway.. I think ALL TFs should have blades.

But in fairness, Tow-Line is something of an anomoly. By splitting between cab/robot and trailer he eliminates a lot of the kibble that all the others in the line have to stuff somewhere behind.
