hello im on the look out to try and find all the names from the g1 generation inc targetmasters/headmasters its been over 20 years sincei last seen a transformer and decided the other day i want to relive some youth and start colecting good condition ones to have on show so if anyone could be so kind to list all the names of autobots and decepticons i would be very grateful the best info ive found so far is here www.tfw2005.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/501but i know theres more, i want to start buying in aplhabetical order starting with autobots stupid i know but its easier to organise this way thanks rich

i know thi ssounds stupid but how can ou tell between the original g1 and the re issues?
whats actually different in re issues, i know the boxes are different but what about the models
i.e optiums prime,as he was originally metal yes are the reissue ones metal aswell

It depends on the figure. The date stampes / country stamp will be different. Others have colour and/or mould differences. Some others here are better at explaining

just gone through your site mate, very good info you have on there and added it to my favourites now
wrote down all the generation1 autobots and decepticons and going to start my search now for nice ones
but i think im going to struggle getting all with boxes and all weapons though

I decided not to go the in Box route a long time ago (mainly because I didn't want to pay £200 a figure) and most of my G1 collection is loose with some selected item in box (like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Grimlock, Blaster, Soudwave, Tripticon and Jetfire to name a few).

Don't keep them in boxes, every Transformer you keep in a box cries itself to sleep each night with only the feint sobs of it's friends in boxes next to it for company! Let them loose!

i know what your sying about the box route
in fact i decided last nite im not going to go that way, if i get the box then its a bonus if not then ill be hapy,
i want to get all the g1 items first, at the minute just going through ebay and looking for the best ones i can get

well ive bought a few over the pas couple of days
nothing great just good ones with a few bits missing
hopefull i can get the bits and make good ones out of them
regarding boxes if i find them with the box its a bonus if not i dont care, just want a nice looking collection of the g1 transformers
