Hi all, I hope this the correct forum to post in. I am currently in the process of moving house and as such I am clearing my loft/attic. I have come across my old tape player and after much searching I believe its called "Soundwave" it has a part no of "3615". here is the only picture i could find www.thetransformers.net/review.asp?MenuID=367&Skin=1Basically i was wondering if its worth anything or should i pass it onto my children. Best regards Carl.

Best regards Carl. Never ever ever ever ever give old toys to kids! Not sure if its worth any huge sum of actual hard cash, but it is worth something as an artifact of a time gone by, and once they it's gone it's gone. Who knows how many of those are out there? I reckon you'd get something for it on ebay. It is not Soundwave though, it is a tape player made by another company based on soundwave. I am unsure if it is officially licensed or just a knock off. That's my two-penneth worth!

Oh i see. the picture you linked to was a toy made by another company. If the one you have is this: www.cliffbee.com/reviews/images/soundwave.jpgThen it is the official Soundwave toy and boxed is worth anything between £30 and £100 depending on condition and completeness.

No it isn't that one, it doesn't actually transform, its a permanent tape player. The tape is built into the chest, the head pushes down to play, theres a button on its left shoulder to stop and another one on its right to FF. You was probably right first time, thanks for your time.

Not sure if this will work, but look at the left. We got our one from Toys R Us years ago, 87 / 88. The item isn't really worth much, more than the Spectro Glass thingy though, and it's pretty cool
