I really like them for their alternate modes. They arent all to scale and some have flaws but a range of mini ships is something i've always wanted. The pilots for me are an added bonus.
As a general observation the Falcon is geuninely a fantastic toy. I reccomended it heavily upon release and had nothing but pleased feedback from whoever bought it. GD in particular agreed with me that it is breath taking as a toy.
Even if they were made to resemble G1 characters I wouldn't want to loose any ship accuracy because of it as for me a large part of TF in general is good alternate modes (one of my problems with current TF toys).

Thanks guys for the ideas, although I was really looking for ideas for who the characters we got could represent in the TF world, not for new vehicles outside of the one's we've been given.
I do agree with minion that they have to retain the high level of alt mode detail and accuracy, in fact I'd go further and say they ought to be in proportion as well. Not with each other, but for example the nose on the ARC fighter is far too short and stubby.

nah kup doesnt make sense as the jawa sandcrawler wreck-gar would be a much better fit lol Wreck gar would be great as a sandcrawler but I do see Kup as a grumpy sandcrawler too. Did anyone mention Arcee for the Queen's ship?

At Toyfair they just unveiled some more: Luke Snowspeeder (bumblebee?) Clone Trooper tank (iron hide?) AT-AT (which is of course crying out to be Shockwave!)
as well as showing the robot modes for Saesee tin starfighter (sunstorm) and clone trooper gunship (jetfire of course!)
I wish reprolabels will sell new heads for these guys!

It would be nice if Hasbro saw fit to re-release them with new heads at some future point.
