I just got three classics minicons sets - the jets, cars and beasts, and while I've slowly warmed to minicons over the years I'm sorry to say these are a massive step backwards. The car ones are tolerable, but the beast and jet/dragon packs are atrocious.
If they'd been good new molds with inspiring designs, I could have lived with them being part of the classics line, but as it stands, they are so so bad, that it only makes it that much more painful that we got all new characters, when minicons could have been the perfect way to give us a lot more G1 characters without needing a long lasting line of deluxes.
Imagine a beast set with Ravage, Laserbeak and Ratbat? or three predacon style beasts that combined into a mini Predaking?
How about a dinobot set actually inspired by the dinobots, with a slag, swoop and sludge to go with deluxe grimlock?
A minibots car set with huffer brawn and cosmos, or powerglide cosmos and the tank guy?
Is there no one at hasbro who could have thought of this and realised how much better and idea it was??
Why is it for every Alternators or Classics Deluxe, we have to put up with 10 times as much rubbish, like Energon Optimus, Titaniums, Star Wars Transformers, and now classic minicons that aren't classics at all??
