talk about a slap in the face! its cool to have a reissue but its lazy to just throw out a g1 toy with nothing new or to even not make a new mold for the character sucks large! there are pictures on seibertron.com and i think that soundblaster came out looking the same with the extra large chest.

Hasbro said that they gave the reissue Soundwave the Soundblaster chest to make it unique from the original. Also its not really a classic, its just with Classics getting the push right now, all figures that were released until the movie-line starts were to be presented in the Classics style.

I thought I read somewhere it was meant for the commerative series they were gonna add more too but decided against so Soundwave got packaged in Classics style. I certainly don't consider it part of the actual Classics line, but it's nice seeing a Soundwave with Soundblaster's chest and getting two of the cassettes packaged with him.

It actually says "Comemerative Series" on the box so the Soundwave reissue is not a classic. In fact the only figures that actually have classics written on the box are the Three Voyagers, The Two Twin Packs, Devestator and the Eight Deluxes (possibly the six minicon teams as well, but i'm not sure). Everything else is just in the classics style packaging.

Yeah thats what I figured but I've not seen the box in detail so wasn't sure. I haven't yet decided if I want to buy a Soundwave or not yet.
