I was there last night and again many thanks for running the competition, we sat right at the back in the middle and it was a really cool event. Love the film best this year by far, very different from what i was expecting, in a good way. My G nearly cried at the end she felt a bit sad for bumblebee arhhhhh!!! Shame about J man hope we get to see him again in the sequel.
Love all the Transformers and the cast were great Shia was very funny and Megan Fox (hot hot hot) I will be booking seats again at the empire for the July release opening night. Sorry to you guys that didnt manage to get in. My other half is now officially the dogs, she went and bought me all the toys out at the moment from TRU today and i've spent all day doin the do!

I thought it was generally excellent. I did have a few minor complaints (like I do with any film) but they were just that. I'll definitely be seeing this again and it easily ranks in alongside Fan4 2 as my fave film of the year so far (maybe edging into the lead because Fan4 was a sequel).
Stuff like the LA 'plan' that GD brought up, as well as the plan to get the Allspark to the top of a building when the Cons had 3 flyers in the area. All a little silly really.
That said, I managed to suspend all disbelief for the 2hrs 30 (or so) and thoroughly enjoy myself.
Bumbleee, Scorponok and Frenzy were awesome. They all almost stole the whole move for me. I was saddened at how much Jazz annoyed me considering he was always a childhood favourite.
The other robots all seemed like SFX fodder and filler but had charm in their own right. Special shout out to Bonecrusher for making Prime look like da man, and also for that wicked cool scoop 'stinger' attachement.

Loved it, and can't wait to see it again with my boys. I do wish the 'Cons had more dialogue though, but still enjoyable.
Question for those who read 'Ghosts of Yesterday' - did you think that bthe film completely contridicted novel?

Ifoundtheactionsequencesalittleconfusingbecasueeverthinblendedintoonemakingitdifficulttoworkoutwhatwasgoingon. (you see what I did there.....)
Also Storytelling. If only Michael. Could tell a. Story instead of. Just bolting lots. Of sequences together. It would. Flow a lot. Better. (you se what I did there?)
My main problem was the storytelling. Where did 2hrs 30mins go? Everyone was thrown together & we had to just except these characters. That too goes for the bots. No back story, no hint at the character of Starscream, Megatron never felt threatening. Rachet "My medical Officer" never healed once, so what was the point of making him a medical officer apart from the alt mode. Where did Prime go when the fighting was in the city at the end? He disappeared, then suddenly popped up again for the money shot fight sequence? Why was there no mourning for Jazz? We should have been feeling sympathy for loosing an Autobot, good god, since when does prime go about ripping Decepticon's heads off?
Anyhoo I must say that Frenzy was the man, well bot. loved the character, swearing, flicking the finger, hoping humans don't see him when he sneaks passed them at the airport.. great! ;D

I was a bit confused how sector seven went from being hugely organised and efficient military type organisation in the book to a clown in a beret in the movie.........

"Where did Prime go when the fighting was in the city at the end? He disappeared, then suddenly popped up again for the money shot fight sequence?" My interpretation of that is that he was dumped off the freeway by bonecrusher and after decapitating him he had to find his way back to the city for his slow-mo entry into the battle

(TF@TheMoon posting as Moonbug) I lot of press are still confused as to who is who, and were confused by the ending. They don't understand how Sam knew how to use the Allspark and why it killed it (even though Prime said that it will destroy both of them). From the Second Life Press Conference I can tell you that most of the people have no idea which Decepticon is which, many international press people (including Sky, MTV) thought that Barricade was Brawl, but I corrected them ;-) From the Junket, the press were complaining about the amount of product placement in the film. Other than that they all seemed to like it, though their comments about the actors were amusing (as in the actors in real life NOT the film). They all liked Shia but they said he kept moving during when they were filming him, they found Megan to be boring, one of the people had an argument with Josh Duhmel and told him to "shut up" during their interview. They were all really pissed with Michael Bay as he blew off all of the interviews other than the BBC. Lorenzo didn't please them either as he did not want to be film, but then most of the press were not interested in speaking with him either. Sky Bluestreak is spot on about where prime went. Frenzy was great, very Waspinator like. Bonecrusher is the new jobbing king, I might have to RPG him over at CWF The Decepticons should have had more lines, though I guess the comics fill in a little. Why when Sam called for Ratchet to come to Bumblebee does nothing get mentioned? They just forget, till BB chooses to speak. Jazz was ..... well it served as a joke to the toy falling apart, and I think that was the only reason he died. Going to start a new thread on bloopers now and missing scenes

Bonecrusher was awesome indeed. It was a real shame about his super jobbing. Then again it shows what a team player he was by putting Prime over for the good of the film.
The Cons came across as a well organised force, but I wopuld have liked to see Starscream in some cut scenes taking command then perhaps not being happy at Megatron's return.

I noticed that too. Not a big deal but then they shouldn't have said they were trying to retain it.
