TransformersAnimated.com has now been launched featuring information on the upcoming Transformers Animated series as well as wallpapers, videos, cast / credit information and news. The website is not fully finished, as the characters page is currently just a list but you can check it out over at www.transformersanimated.com. We thought we'd launched it now since we have content in each of the different sections. We decided design the website in the style of the Cartoon Network UK sub-sites which was a change from our normal type of web work. We were pleased with how the Flash main page turned out, it could obviously be better, but we've not really used Flash that much before. We hope to add more areas to the site such including Fan Art and polls, but is there anything else that people would like to see on the site?

As long as it maintains top news regarding the show and toyline i'm sure it'll be used by many.
Looks really good so far!

Nice work on the site. Still don't like the art but that's more down to the show than the site. Good work.

I've already started using the Bug part of my forum name on the Transformers Animated front, so hopefully we have something soon.
Am working on Megatron at the moment, from the Amazon pic. He's 90% re-drawn now, so I'll have to colour him up and look for the missing parts.

It may as well be the official site for the show. Have you suggested that to CN? EDIT: "new premise in which the Autobots fight evil humans in superhero fashion much more frequently than they battle the Decepticons." Whaaaaaaat?! This changes a lot for me. I like the designs, but not sure about this bit.

The superpowered humans are suppose to be influence by Decepticons behind the scenes, which should prove interesting.
Where do we find the time, Moonbug has done most of the work on the site whilst I've been out with Sarah including a lot of late nights.
I only redrew Prowl (both modes), Bumblebee car, Starscream outline (not used), Slag (from a poor image) and started on another character that's not been used on the site thus far. In terms of my other work I converted Moonbug's HTML layout into PHP, integrated it with the Moon for news, did the video page javascript and layout but he did the rest. Its one of the reasons why the Moon has had less updates recently, as we've been trying to get that finished and tweaked.

I designed the layout for TFA at work, then we spent a night working on the look. I then created the site in static HTML at work, creating the CSS and starting work on redrawing the characters (Ratchet)
I then spent a few weeks working on the characters, as roughly 1 character a night. Some took longer, Bulkhead (both modes) was done in an evening.
During the same time I started work on the new look for LDT (Lucky Draw Transformers), using the free time I gained at work (as the new system I'm training people on has been delayed, and I've finished writing up all the PRs).
As getting a decision takes ages at work, I use the time more constructively by testing by CSS skills ... only it's not on work related material.
It takes up all my free time on the weekdays, and a few hours on weekends, but it gives me something to do - and I really enjoyed the visual aspect of this one.

Well as soon as a character model for Soundwave becomes available, I expect a Devil Soundwave recolour n the front page somewhere... x
