I suppose it was inevitable - I guess the early word in hollywood is that Transformers is going to do very well, getting both kids and people our age in one fell swoop.
In the last week, I've seen reports of a new He-Man movie, a Voltron movie, a new GI Joe script review of the revised script (at LatinoReview.com) and today apparently a Thundercats movie has been optioned.
What's left that's crying out for the hollywood treatment? Bravestarr? Centurions? Dino Riders? (I can see the pitch for thats - "it's like transformers crossed with jurassic park!") MASK? Starcom?

Ah this is also mentioned in another topic.
Personally I would have liked the Dungeons & Dragons movies to have been based on the cartoon show. Least then they might not have been as crap as they are. And would have had Cullen as Venger.

We can only hope they have more sense.
I'm still traumatised because of that film.

I read about a new Goonies movie a while back. Nothing green lighted but an idea from the creator of the original. His idea was atrocious, and about a group of 'GRoonies' who were the kids of the originals (all who would cameo) that hang about at Data's shop.
Apparently the rights are due to revert to the movie studios though or something much like with Gremlins, so we could be in line for a lot of cheap assed sequels from money grubbing execs...
