picked up the paperback in the works for £2.99 yesterday. have read it today and all its done is make me want to see the movie now. i thought alan dean foster did a great job with the book. better than his alien books imo. any one else read it. dont forget this is not the place for actual movie spoilers, but any comments on this book should be ok. i think. guys?

the prequel to the new movie. sets it up nice imo. not to spoil, its set in the sixties and give a bit of depth to sector seven and the first contact between humans and the tfs.

I've read it. Yes it's pretty good, but after seeing movie I did feel there were some major continuity problems!
And SSG.... when did you think it was set?

The book is enjoyable and an easy read. I'd agree on the continuity issues. I'm hoping Alan Dean Foster has made as good a job of the movie book too.

im not worried about continuity too much. the book gave me a good "feel" of the bots and i must say i almost thought i was reading a g1 book at times.on the whole it went smoothly and had some very strong human characters. i rate it 8 outta ten. much better than the 3 g1 based books from a few years ago.
