We have a free pass for this years event again, but it wasn't worth us going last year as we didn't have an appointment with Hasbro, so we couldn't actually talk to anyone - though it was nice seeing all those toys.
Is anyone going, and does anyone know how we could get an appointment to look around the Hasbro area?

I'll be there
you have to book with hasbro through their CR offices and usually helps if you're a business rather than press
some stuff like the ep3 toys you had to have an account with one of their distibutors minimum
you can try to piggy back my appointment if you like but can't guarantee you getting in if they look at your badge

lol it's not so much that but they're and I quote from one of last years exhibitors " we're trying to cut down on monkeys with ebay accounts wasting our time when they all they want to do is look at new stuff, not to actually buy anything"
I can see their point to a degree as they are wasting their time and they are trying to get buyers for the new product or gauge interest as to if they should import stock or not
they're not there to show new stuff to non buyers as a lot of the information is priviliged and applicable to accounts customers only, as TF the movie is their big property this yea and its being kept pretty much under wraps I'm guessing you'll only get to see that product if you hold an account as they dont want the movie spoilt much like I knew the end to ep3 because of the toys I saw a few years back
the moonies role is important as they host a news site and can spread the word so they get a lot more interest in their product but..... news websites weren't allowed to see the ep3 stuff and security was ludicrously strict for it hence why I offered to try and wangle them in under my company

ok been on the phone to hasbro to book an appointment and despite me buying from one of the distributors I CANNOT get to see any new TF product as it is a closed stand for Hasbro direct buyers only
so with hasbro's attitude I will not be able to see any new SW TF or ML products despite them being my main three seller
I'm bloody fuming and have demanded to speak to someone higher up in their offices
awaiting call now...............

So they really are keeping the lid on the images then. I'm assuming you got to see the bits which Prowuls posted at TFW?

yeah I did
I have an appointment to see the new star wars and marvel stuff but they are saying that TF is all behind closed doors ( had to threaten cancelling a £1000 order with my supplier and he called hasbro and got me that at least )
I'll see what I can manage on the day though as often the reps there are more human than the anonymous office bods at head office

well I got into the TF display with no trouble at all on the day ...... I'll be posting what will be coming as a TF@TM exclusive later on in general as I'll cover the marvel stuff too and it's easier in one thread.......
