Well, that depends on which one you are referring to.
Takara Masterpiece 03 Starscream - Nice, realistic but might seem a bit fragile as the plastic is model quality not toy quality.
Hasbro Classic Masterpiece Starscream - Good and chunky proper toy feel but unrealistic G1 colours
TakaTomy US edition Masterpiece Starscream - See above Hasbro entry
A great figure overall with some fanastic detail and an interesting transform which leaves some saying "wow!" and others thinking "why are those bits there?". If you like it looking like it belongs in our world then the MP03 is the one but if you want that G1 look its Hasbro or US edition to head for.

I got the Takara USA Edition for quite cheap, and liked the figure more than I thought I would. If you can get him quite easily I'd say go for it.

I think it is a phenomenal figure. I like the Anime and Realistic versions equally and for different versions. Plastic wise the Anime one wins but there is something awesome about the realism of the first 03 release.

I had to get rid of mine, he looks great but doesnt feel like a toy but an airfix model. Also his paintwork is dodgy, I like the wear and darkening but their are little paint squiggles on mine. If you checkout the reviews on youtube this is a common gipe that people have, at first looks great but upon closer inspection not so good. The other problem is he doesnt really transform in jet mode tightly so you can see the transformation seams, pity a bit more investment in the materials of this toy could have made it really aesthetically pleasing. I guess most people really like him though, probably swayed by the cheeky smirk.
