Unless you mean two posts in succession without someone else posting. If so, I was unaware that you're not meant to do that. Yeah that's what he meant. It irks some people, and to be fair it's a longstanding rule and Phill keeps us all in line, he's like the ships computer. Or something. Personally I wouldn't have it any other way. God bless the Phill, long may h reign. Give him a *whoop* guys, come on. Incidentally, the issue of the recent "knockoffs" is very much an esoteric one. They look the same. The box is identical. The stickers and paint apps are identical. The quality is 99% there. The only thing that makes them not 100% legit is the simple fact they where not manufactured by or under the authorisation of Has-Tak-Tomy. But the question is - does this actually *make* them any less viable as a purchase? Devil's advocate perhaps, but in all honesty, if you can honestly not tell the difference, does it matter? Original 90s release of your Favourite album on CD. New release printed last year, but the record compny insignia is diffrent due to a merger. Same content, same cover. No difference. Does it matter?

The seller messaged me and said he'd relist the item and no damage done, so thats good news, though he was still insisting it was original, but after seeing the three forum posts Odssey found, its hard to believe.
KO's to be honest are quite nice, and I don't have a problem with them, some of them, like this Mirage are obviously well made, its just the diseat that throws me, and also I bid on it as I thought it was original.
I've considered getting KO's and Reissues, but I figured, just spending a little more will get me originals, which I might aswel get, being the real deal, but kudos to those with these in their collection, they are nice.

I've not got a particular problem with the actual KO's, I've bought some of the cassettes myself and yes they are very good quality. The Ratbat is perfect and a hell of a lot cheaper than getting an original complete with ears. My problem is when people sell 'em as original 1980's versions. If they stated that they are KO's, then that's all good. But this seller is insisting that they are NOT KO's and are vintage tf's. Surely there must be something that can be done about it. I've emailed a few of his recent customers and most were bought on the understanding that they are original, not KO's. Here's some of the replies I got. Dear oddsey1,
Yes, I bought a G1 Ravage. As far as I can tell, not being an expert, it is an original. No instructions or box, but this is how it was advertised. I bought it knowing this.
Hope this helps. I'd be interested in how your investigation progressed.

- captaintau--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear oddsey1,
yea! no problem i bought ratbat. really had no time to check him out please let me know i will stay in touch. thanks paul
- transformer.804--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Yes I perchased a G1 Ratbat from the same dealer. I was lead to belive by the item description that it was an original G1 but on closer inspection when I recived the item I came the conclusion that it was a good knock-off as you did. ;-(
- asszilla101--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear oddsey1,
It was a Ratbat, which is original cause I've compared it to my mate's which he had originally as a kid after the last email about this. The colour/shape and everything match
- glyn_simpson--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The last guy refers to an earlier email, which I sent about a year ago. It seems I was nearly a victim as well. I bid on one of his auctions for Ratbat, but was outbid by Glyn. After the end of auction I was contacted with a second chance offer by mecharsi. At this point I became suspicious and emailed the winner to see if they had backed out of the sale. Guess what? No they hadn't, they had paid and were awaiting delivery. Obviously I didn't take mecharsi up on his offer! I let Glyn know about the second chance offer and left it at that.

Another thing you have to watch for is the seller sometimes bid on the item to make the price go up and get more money.
