[glow=red,2,300]Hi guys really pee'd off right now.
My employer paid me wrong this month and is refusing to pay me the outstanding until next month.
They say it has to be authorised by an area manager, but other staff that have been paid theres just rang up and spoke to them and got it.
Can they do this legally?
Any one out there an Payroll wiz or has had expreience of this kind of thing before.

If your contract states you will be paid x wage on x date, then they have to honour that. Demand it.

I know it's not supposed to work like this but sometimes when you complain you get singled out. If your supervisor's are notorious at getting revenge then I would be careful If I liked my job.

I don't know how stuff works out there but here If an employer owes you they usually tack it on to the next payperiod.

when my pay was messed up one month i rang my head office and told them and they gave me two choices, either the money would be tacked on the following months pay or they could post a cheque i opted for the first option cause the extra money worked out better the following month

[glow=red,2,300] Go straight to payroll.
Your manager probably hasn't paid you because they forgot - it's ludicrously easy to do... but makes you look a real gimboid having to admit it to your staff... much easier to blame payroll...
If you nail payroll they will either mail it straight out to you, or tag it onto the end of next months pay...
Go to your bank and tell them what has happened - most banks will cover any charges from direct debits or regular bills if they know there has been a glitch. [/glow]
