Animated deluxes in TRU Portsmouth

Hi,

Just popped in to TRU Portsmouth.

They had the battle begins 2-packs, but they also had two boxes of Animated deluxes on the floor. One was opened and it had:

2xBumbleee
2xOptimus Prime
2xLockdown
2xProwl

I'm not buying Animated toys myself, but I thought the rest of you guys might find it useful.

I have to say I was shocked at how 'kiddie' some of them looked in the plastic, especially Bumblebee.

It looks like our releases are about in synch with the US for a change. Both Epicheroes and Toyzandgamez have had their US stock arriving at the same time as the UK stock has started to hit shelves. This means the online retailers might struggle to shift stock as some figures on both websites are overpriced. For example why buy voyager Bulkhead for £37.99 plus shipping from Toyzandgamez for US stock when he is/will be available soon for only £19.99 on UK retail shelves (or cheaper if you pre-order from Play.com).

Animated out in Swindon TRU! Picked up Prowl and Lockdown. Didn't fancy Prime as have the Earth-mode one from the two-pack, and Bumblebee may be worth getting later on to bolster the Autobot ranks if needed.

Just a note on placement - these weren't put out in the big TF section (next to Dr Who and Star Wars), rather they were on the Transformers Movie endcap (with the TV commercial for the movie toys running).
