Please lock if this isn't allowed. I recieved an e-mail from my big sis, asking me to help donate to Cancer Research's Race For Life charity, of which she is taking part and i gladly contributed. She's trying to get to a target of £100, but obviously if anyone want s to give, please give as much as you can. Of course she is just one of many people taking part in this, but it would mean alot to me. Our mother died from bone cancer in 1994, one week after my 18th birthday on her 55th birthday after a rough period, battling for 8 - 10 years. However - not once did she ever let it get her down and continued to remain the warm, funny mother we loved who would talk to anyone, laugh at anything. If you don't want to donate, please go to this site, it would mean the world to me: www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/claireevans73Thank-you, Peter.

Nothing wrong with this thread Hoist. And a very worthy cause. (Bumping to keep it up near the top)

Ta. my wife donates to cancer research every month as she had/has breast cancer. a worthy cause if you can afford to give. Very true indeed. I've found out it's on a Sunday too, so I might go up there on a day return by bus to cheer her on. (She doesn't know this yet) Take the camera and stuff.

Its not much, but I donate £15 a month directly from my pay to Cancer Research UK.
I once dated a woman who's mother was diagnosed and died from cancer in about 7 months. Ever since then I've put that small donation in.
