Stan Winston was.....(and what a maestro at that): To my mind a visionary (not as in the cartoon) visual effects/animatronic/makeup artist that has brought us the terminator, aliens, jonny scissor hands, in fact just about any 80s movie worth its salt for creature effects is likely to have him in the credits somewhere. Before the days of CG, this guy suspended disbelief to millions of film viewers. He's the name always in the credits (mostly)...

The man was a genius and his work will live on forever to be sure. Even in the modern CG times, he worked on some awesome stuff like Iron Man. Like I said, genius.

Uhm, who he? Shame though... As no one's bothered to answer you DS: He was the sfx artist behind terminator, jurassic park etc etc. Aklso the director of pumpkinhead.

Guess he was the harryhausen(sp?) of our age. Sad loss, actually say the book of his work in waterstones the other week pity I didn't buy it
