With the release of some more old BW molds in the form of Psycho Orb and Bound Rorg (Robot Masters) my question is firstly will you even consider buying them and secondly is there even a place for these guys (and future repaints)?

Don't forget the upcoming Universe releases of the original Cheetor and such.

Ah another good point. Personally Im all for it as these are some of the best Tf toys ever so id rather if anything was going to be repainted it was them.

I have to admit that we avoided the Armada Beasts (apart from Terrorsaur) and have avoided the two Beast from Robot Masters (we seem to ignore BW repaints more than normal ones), but if they were good, then I'd be tempted.
We should really get the Armada Cheetor, as we have loads of Cheetors.
I've gone for yes but only the good molds, but I'd only like to see a few, and of those which haven't be re-done before - maybe a new B'Boom, maybe another Polar Claw (as he is cool - I know he'd been done before).

The thing is, Hasbro (and Takara) are trying to sell to a wide demographic than the one targetted by the main line, currently Energon. BW toys are very often more "advanced" not only in transformation but joints and stuff. So while energon sells to, I dunno, 5-10 year olds, Universe and so forth sells to, say, 9-14 year olds.
The moaning comes when you get the REALLY die-hard collectors, who want to buy every Transformer released. Being "forced" to buy toys you've already gotten at least once leaves a bitter taste in their mouths.
Frankly, I wasn't collecting during BW/BM, so I say bring it on. But then, I'm just selfish.

I dont mind buying repaints as for me it comes down to the characters. If its a repaint for the sake of it i dont find it much fun. If like with some of them they give them a good techspec of something it makes all the difference from my POV.
That said some repaints just kick ass like the Fox Kids ones.

[glow=red,2,300]I think 75% of them where terrible the first time round, so having them re-released in fruity colours via Universe is unneccessary IMO.
The ARMADA beast just compounded my hatred for the smaller beast wars moulds. I only like the big ones like Optimal Optimus and the like.[/glow]

I'm happy to see redecos of the Transmetals onwards. Some of those toys were (and still are) the best TF designs in years.
