Have gone through my entire collection (almost) this afternoon and I had to stop at my BW and BM boxes and just go 'wow these are damned awesome toys'. As I went through them (as you do when supposedly tidying) and played with them I came to the conclusion that I was hard pressed to find a bad toy amonsgt them.
Sure some arent show accurate and some have insanely pointless alt modes but they all have that intagible imo.
So my questions are:
What's the singlualr best BW toy in your opinion and why?
What's the singular worst BW toy in your opinion and why?

I don't have many, but my favourites are the Obsidian, Spystreak or Ultra Jetstorm Molds. They're cool toys. I have all of the Obsidian Versions and the first two Spy-Streak ones. Also all 5 versions of the Deluxe Jetstorm mold.
Worst? Well seeing as it's generally just the Vehicons I like I can't really comment, but my vote has to go to the Transmetals, after my "Flaking incident" with Transmetal 2 Cheetor this weekend.

best is probably one of the transmetals
maybe rattrap cheetor or megs (all transmetal 1's)

EDIT: is this just bw or are we including bm i think rainstorm just sed bw's if we are including bm than optimus bm primal was a very bad toy to

Best BW: Tarantulas - exactly like th show and cool spider!
Worst BW: Injector or other horrible decepticon fuzor so they are just hideous and non show...

I'm having a hard time actually loving some Beast Wars toys. At the time, Hasbro has going kinda nuts with ball joints, and showing off, in the end, where they just don't work. Up to delux size, a ball joint is fine, but above that the toys just get too big and heavy, and a ball joint doesn't provide enough friction. Getting TM2 Blackarachnia to balance in anything other than a boring pose is utter hell, since her arms keep flopping down, and her legs just collapse!

Best BW: TM2 Black Arachnia. She just looks superb, and unlike what Mona-Impérator thinks.. she's highly poseable.  Worst BW toy: Bantor. His feet look too big, he has a butt for an arm and the animal head looks odd during robot form. |

We can do BW and BM its all good.
I am of two minds about BA TM2. In one respect shes show accurate, looks uitably freaky in spider mode and its a nice sculpt. On the other hand it doesnt stand well, the 'weapon' is useless and the kick action is pointless. I am also one of the few who doesnt mind Injector, sure hes not going to ever be the 50th anniversary toy edition but hes ok and different looking than the rest.
Anyway...
Best BW toy: Fox Kids Tarantulas (cause the colours rip on the original), TM1 Waspinator, Rampage, Optimus Primal (monkey). Also all the first few waves bascis kick ass.
Worst BW toy: I dont like Optimal Optimus too much. Also TM2 Megatron's dragon neck looks silly in robot mode.
Best BM toy: Tank Drone, Cycle Drone, Sonic Attack jet, Ultra Jetstorm.
Worst BM toy: Any Cheetor other than Nightslash.

I think Longrack is my favourite of all time. He's a good size, has a great alt mode (a giraffe!!!) and a superb looking and posable robot mode. Add in some firing missiles AND a knife for close quarters battle and you are on to a real winner.

just going to go on what i own here, since actually having the toy in your hands can really change an opinion
Best BW: Original Cheetor is really good, although a bit of a brick in beast mode awsome articulation, detail and two guns mak this a real cool figure
TM1 Megatron is a figure filled with detail such as the tail and roller skates, shame Predacon wasnt grimlock as the mold is perfect for him
BW Neo Dead End is my favourite BW basic, rubix cube transformation, awsome posture, total badass commanding look to the figure
Worst BW: as im pulling from i go the least impressed ive been with a BW figure goes out to TM Airazor, mainly due the wings and lack of weapon, also the transformation is a bit flat
Blackarachnia is a wonderful looking figure but suffer heavily from a large backpack and the spin-kick makes her legs adrift
Best BM: Ultra Jetstorm looks totally different to any other TF in terms of the sleek design, nice tformation
Worst BM: wouldnt say i own any bad BM but Tankorr is as less show acurate than Rachet and Ironhide

just to change mine after looking through what i have: Worst BW - Retrax!!!!!! Noooo! Retrax is soo cool. Lil Pill bug thingy with lil buggy legs and lil beedy eyes and erm... lil legs and the eyes and.. yeah. Honestly though, I do quite like him, his ball curling action I think is pretty cool. |
