[glow=blue,2,300]War Dawn is absolutely my favorite G1 ep, and I must give mad respect to any who would name it Best TF Ep. Ever. I could go on and on citing why Code of Hero is deserving of the title, but like the colors of the rainbow, it's hard to say which is best. I stiil think C of H is the best ep ever, but War Dawn is definitely one of the greatest.[/glow]

Both are right up there in TF legend for doing something different and affecting the history/future of each respective series.

Code Of Hero defiently one of the best TF episodes of alllllll time, i cried at the end of it as i'd managed to avoid spoilers for the series and couldnt believe the finale. Truly gave the Beast Wars depth and scale.
War Dawn definetly one of the best G1 cartoons which i rate highly along with Key To Vector Sigma, Megatrons Master Plan, SOS Dinobots and 5 Faces of Fear (1-5)
What about The Decepticons and Volcano from RiD they were damn good and Spark Wars from Beast Machines? also very good!
dont remember much from Armada and havent seen much of Energon and none of Cybertron

Its certainly up there with the best, like much of the Beast Wars/Machines episodes it's head and shoulders above anything from G1 (IMO). A better Mouse Trap also gets mo vote, probably because both episodes concentrate on two of the best developed characters from the BW series.
Yours AK

Can't say I like War Dawn, I don't see how Optimus Prime would forget who saved him. When he helped to build the Aerialbots he should have realized who they were. Wouldn't they look at least a little bit filmiluar? While I like Optimus being Orion Pax the transformation form Orion Pax who is like a teenager to Optimus Prime is too far fetched to me. Its like he woke up one day and said now I'm a mighty hero or something.

Wouldn't they look at least a little bit filmiluar? While I like Optimus being Orion Pax the transformation form Orion Pax who is like a teenager to Optimus Prime is too far fetched to me. Its like he woke up one day and said now I'm a mighty hero or something. As Optimus Prime said, "Well, it all happened about nine million years ago." That's an awful long time to remember five faces.
And just because Prime kicked butt after Alphatrion rebuilt him doesn't mean he instantly matured into the Optimus Prime we all know and love. Remember, the Aerialbots kicked afterburner as soon as they were activated, but still needed time to mature. (That would be a fun cartoon to watch. Prime, newly rebuilt, learning to be a leader instead of a dock worker.)
Anyhoo, just a few ideas to help make the connections. I totally respect if you disagree.
EDIT: By the way, COOL avatar, there Laserface!

I won't so much as say its not realistic, its just that as a story, there's no real depth to it. Granted its a cartoon show but even still it lacks something and yeah they had to do it up in 30 minutes or what ever the case I feel they rushed Orion Pax in to becoming Optimus Prime and the results IMO is that they're could of been more.
As for Optimus Prime not remembering the Aerialbots, they're robots with computer brains they don't forget easy. I understand the restrictions and that even things at the studio may have prevented them from turning out a good episode, I still can't say I like what we got.
As for origins, the War Within was great in the way Prime has doubts about what it is to do. I won't argue about how well they fight, like I said their robots and that can be programed in to them mind you transformers are different kind of robot thats not really what bothers me. War Dawn to me needed more.

As for Optimus Prime not remembering the Aerialbots, they're robots with computer brains they don't forget easy. I dunno. It was millions of years and data can disappear over time. Crashlanding the Ark might have damaged his memory a bit too. I felt War Dawn was a little lacking personally myself but Im not all that fond of Code of Hero either.
