[glow=green,2,300]I know I might cause uproar but I think he really is just a little bit rubbish really, Robot form is a bit pants, and he is 90% wasteful, trailer does nothing, and roller sucks, really sucks, I mean who has ever ever used him as anything.
Why do people go mad over him?
In Brawns opinion Powermaster Prime is a far better, beefier, more fun, better looking (Even the base is cool) and he uses his trailer!! Admittidly he does not look as cool in vehicle mode but he looks far better in robot mode. Ok he also cant move anything except his arms and is as posable as a rock but he looks like a leader. He also comes with a powermaster which are extremely cool![/glow]

I always hated Powermaster Prime as a kid (probubly because I never got him and other kids used too gloat so I channeled it into loathing) In the comic I always thought it looked like he had a mashmallow head. As for the toy. He was bulky sure... but in a sort of overweight kinda way His regular robot mode was noting next too the original prime. Looked like a cheep knock off too me... and when combined with the messy trailer he looked like a toddler. his head was way to big, his arms way to short. He was a masive brick. I really wasn't impressed. Saything that though God Ginrai was much better. The diecast helped the cab feel like quality. The extendable fists looked better. plus when combined with God Bomber he looked in much better proportion. Still I had heaps of fun with the original. He was just the right size and had the right amount of posability. I used the trailer and roller quite a bit with my zoid pilots

Why do people go mad over him? Because he is the begining of everything and that makes him special for many people While Powermaster Prime is very nice, my preference is stil G1 Prime.

[glow=red,2,300] As with most TF's it's all about a time and a place.
It's about recapturing that feeling of 1984... [/glow]

I like them both and was fortunate enough to own them both as a child. Powermaster Prime was a nice evolution of the design for me and the combining feature was fun. It also allowed to him to fight the bigger toys I owned which was always a bonus.

I didn't own either growing up as Grizz had both, I have to give props to Pwermaster Prime - he is indestructable. Grizz owned probably the world's first headmaster 84 prime, trashed the trailer and made Roller unable to roll (the brute) but Powermaster Prime is still in good condition. That is build quality! That said personally I just love the look and feel of the 84 Prime - he makes a fantastic diecast truck and so what if he can't hold his gun straight and loses his hands for days on end till you find them under the sofa. Powermaster Prime just looks a bit too cheap for me. Like most of the Transformers since the 84-85 ones really. That's just going by toys alone though, Masterforce totally sells God Ginra! When merged with God Bomber (one of the coolest names ever most un-pc names ever lol), he looks well like a Japanese giant robot and everyone knows my love of giant robots and gundams etc... The toy does enough to remind me of that which puts him higher but if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't rate him so highly. If I hadn't seen TFTM or the cartoon, I'd still prefer 84 Prime due to his truck mode and general die cast shinyness

PM Prime, just isnt G1 prime to me, its a new incarnation. I do like the play but it just seems to be developed with younger people in mind.
I got my PM Prime for my 2nd birthday so it was awesome then and still nice now, but I think the cartoon makes me biased toward G1..

I was starting to lose interest in Transformers by the time the Powermaster Prime toy was released, I had no idea it even existed until I started collecting again (either that or I'd completely forgotten about it).
As a Kid I never owned a G1 Prime, but my friend had one that we both used to play with. There's a lot a playability in G1 Primes trailer and the fact you could put other TF's inside was great.
That I now own about 6 G1 Primes and just 1 God Ganrai probably says it all.

My Prime was a head and arm master! Doesn't that make him more of a combiner?
