I saw that but seeing how I'm buying yet another copy of it in november when that new version comes out I thought better of it.

At BotCon when the side-by-side footage of SONY BMG's "Enhanced" version of the movie and the original were shown, there were some complaints.
To make the movie 16:9 they've actually cut the top and bottom off the image to make it letter-boxed.

Yeh I heard about that. How bad is it?
I think its pretty daft on their part to openly advertise this too (by showing comparisons).

Seeing as you'll probably never actually watch both at the same time it'll probably seem OK. But in the side-by-side comparissons it was overly obvious and off-putting.
