Apparently the first episode to air here (September 5th) is going to be called Haven. Now I'm not completely sure, but wasn't that the first episode the americans got? As the info for the episode said something about the Autobots and their human friends making, or finding a base on the planet Earth, (which I know from seeing the first couple of GF episodes wasn't how it started). Yes, I've got Sky+ so I used the planner to skip forward seven days, to put TF:Cybertron on record, so I'm disappointed if this is case, but also I'm hoping that they made a mistake.

Regardless, Cybertron's already been put on hold in the US, so ifen if it starts at a weird episode, chances are we'll be getting them before they do.

Well Armada was so so (thankfully the later episodes saved it), but we did end up finishing the cartoon run before the Americans. Which is a good thing.

Im certain that whenever it airs and whichever episode it begins with, the outcome will be the same. I see Cybertron being a much bigger line than either Armada or Energon, although I was pleased with the ending of Armada, Energon was just a very very poor cartoon in general and lacked everything needed to give it purpose and intresting plot lines.
I may have come out and said Cybertron is not half as good as GF in my opinion and I stick by that, but I can see the tv show intrested kids and thats what its all about. Also I am pleased at Hasbro's decision (thus far) to limit the number of rediculous repaints as they have been so accustomed to in previous series'.
So with the show not too bad (after ep 7 or so) and the first wave of toys primarily new and decent moulds, I can see a positive start to Cybertron ..
but all this doesnt change the fact I will continue to watch GF .. I just cant stand those atrocious dubs!!!

...after watching the batman and justice league unlimited last night (second last ep...divided we fall?), I cant understand why we still get dubbed shows. Its when the show is designed for its relevant market that we get the really good stuff. GF in its original form must work well in Jap, but a simple dub + mod doesn't cut it in the western world. The animation and story of JLU is on par with BW/BM so we know TF can be done like this.....so why isn't it???

JLU has a broad appeal to pretty much anyone that's ever picked up a DC superhero comic book, so they can afford to invest a lot of cash into it and come out with a half-decent show, with good enough returns across the board in terms of comic book and merchandise sales.
Transformers isn't nearly as big as that unfortunately. After the commercial failiure that was Beast Machines Hasbro aren't exactly keen to throw a lot of cash at making a Western-made cartoon (japanese anime studios are simply a hell of a lot cheaper to commision than their equivalent in the US).
And it's also important to recognise that making the show in America won't solve the problem. Remember that with Beast Wars, the line didn't really take off until Takara made their own series, with its own cartoon; the translation of the Mainframe show into japanese was simply appalling, and witb Takara in financial flux at the moment it's hard to imagine them being keen on making another Japan-only cartoon, since they won't have Hasbro's cash backing them up.

Fair enough, but the impression I get from the last 2 shows and this one is that they have been developed with Takara onboard rather than Hasbro. I'm not entirely convinced by the whole JLU costs more. Irrelevance of what show is produced where, 9/10 its animated in korea. Thats where I would imagine the bulk of the cost would go. Its the story telling, which is currently severely lacking. I dont think it costs that much to get one decent writer on-board. Suffice to say, I would argue that BW/BM which many people reckon was currenting edge cost alot more than many of the current cartoons.
If you look at it another way, with Takara merged with Tomy, surely they now have some stability.....maybe not right this minute but a year down the road to make their own Eastern-market cartoon. I dont get why Hasbro should foot the bill and get a second rate product. Ironically dont you think its because we have shoddy dubbing companies that we end up with what we have??? If we spend the total cost at the start, wont that make a better cartoon?

Ive seen the trailer, it wasnt bad, Ive also seen Cybertron Ep 4 and the dubbing in that is awful. The trailer isnt so bad because only Prime and Megs speak! The eps, almost all the characters have very poor voices acting!
