Here's a warning for anyone who's seen the Galaxy Force Cartoon:
DON'T WATCH CYBERTRON!!!!
Firstly it starts at episode er...i think 3 maybe 4, and there is no introduction to the characters, Vector Prime just appears in the story with little or no explanation.
We all know the animation is great but this line will fail commercialy in the same way as Energon....No matter what the toys are like(and we know they are good) the cartoon will not fire the imagination of Kids hence they will not buy the toys.
When are Hasbro gonna realise that if they want the Transformers line to be a success they need to do there own thing when it comes to the cartoon, translating dodgy suedo mystical Jap anime about robots with personality, for the western audience does not work.
Basically i'm now under the impression that the japanese just can't write stories about Robots with real personalities. They always end up writing about little kids who influence the Transformers. This might be fine in Japan but not over here.
p.s. Sorry about the rant

The writers will write for the target audience they are given and based around the 'series bible' Takara / Hasbro will pass them at the start.
They focus on the kids as that is the audience that the toys are aimed for, its suppose to give it a 'see yourself as X' feel

Apparently there was some legal issue which meant that the story couldn't start at Episode 1. Suprisingly one cartoon channel in Canada started at Episode 3, and an American station started at Episode 4. Episode 1 and 2 have had the Voice recordings done, and will appear on DVD as part of the collections. Hopefully they'll sort it out when it comes to the UK (SHOULD be Toonami) and we'll get it from Episode 1.

I'd just like to see something like a Justice league style cartoon with Transformers. I actually quite enjoyed the first dozen episodes of Energon (Megatrons raid being my favourite episode)but i hadn't seen Superlink. The problem is i've seen Galaxy Force and that has spoilt my enjoyment of the first couple of episodes of Cybertron. *edit* Phill i got these episodes from a relative in Canada and it does start from episode 3.

recieved an e-mail from my bro at home:
I just saw the trailer for cybetron, date was sept 5th. Trailer looked cool, none of that cut and paste crap trailers, proper stuff done by toonami. Before we get carried away, how is the story of cybetron by the way?

Basically the stories the same as Galaxy Force, just with the first couple of episodes missing. So when it starts Vector Prime is already around, with no real explanation.
Other characters pop up too, right out of the blue.
I do hope that the first couple of episodes are shown on UK tv.

As Ive alreayd stated, this effort is pathetic and I def will not be watching the cybertron equivalent. Just the voice overs themselves were enough to make me want to break something. I will def be watching the rest of galaxy force, but will just have to put up with theose rediculously annoying waste of space and time brats!!

So the cartoon is out in about 3 weeks, yet the toys are no where in sight. What part of cartoon=toy commerical=kids buy toys, dont hasbro uk understand.
Oh, I've submitted the air date of cybertron as news on the main site.

I just want to let everyone know following recent occurences regarding cybertron in europe and also the announcement of the cartoon starting very soon, I yesterday put in a rather long and detailed email to the marketing department at hasbro europe to explain why transfans in the uk are and have been disgusted with the total disrespect they have received with the handling of transformers over the past x years. I am not suggesting I will be able to help resolve any issues this early on, but my view is to first get these peoples attention to the situation and slowly work my way in to try and get some influence on the matter.
I will of course try and keep you all posted with my findings and results.
regards
